Memorial Season... Snow almost gone :D

Hello,

We just came back from our Special Assembly Day. We really enjoyed it! We had a special speaker from Bethel! It was such a treat. Brother Haruno. Gave some awesome talks. I will be posting some pictures. We are now gearing up for Memorial. Looking forward to seeing how many come. Tonight Mike has to go to the prison to do the Watchtower Study and then he has a study at 7:00 p.m. so it will be a late night for him. Days like today I pack extra food for us because we won't be eating at home. The other day I made some Elk Chili. Nothing special. A sister in our hall gave us some ground elk meat. Decided to put it in the chili I made. Mike made some suggestions to make it better, 2 Chipotle peppers and some other chilies. MAN WAS IT HOT!!! But very good. So that is what we had for supper tonight. BTW people say supper instead of diner here :) I think it is cute and I'm using the term quite freely.

All is good and are happy. Keeping busy in the ministry. Our studies are doing good. I have an update on Karla. I just posted we were going to cover the Trinity. Well all went smoothly. She prepared the lesson we were covering and three appendix articles on Jesus! Before we started the study I wanted to get a feel for what she thought. She said it made a lot of sense. So smooth sailing! Yipeeee! We had a great study. Gotta go. I have to prepare for her study tomorrow.

Take Care,

Luv, Ty

March Madness :)

Hi Everyone!

Sorry it has been so long since the last post. I'm hoping to posting more often. We are gearing up for a action packed April. We have our Special Assembly Day on April 9th. We are so excited because we have 30 who have signed up to auxiliary pioneer in April. So will have half of the congregation will be pioneering in April Yay :D

This weekend we are going to Wausaukee, WI to give a talk. We are going to be staying the night at Brother Russ Crawford's house. We went to pioneer school with him this last summer. It is about a 2 hour drive. Looking forward to meeting the friends in Wausaukee.

Recent experiences:

Sarah- College Student. I was calling on her roommate but could never find her so I struck up a conversation with her when we were placing the new Bible Message Brochure. She said she wasn't very religious, but she had some questions. I've come back a few times and shared some points with her from the Brochure. The last call I had with her was very nice. It was the week after the earthquake in Japan. She answered the door and said she was busy. But we got on the topic of the earthquake and she wanted to talk about it. She said her and her neighbor had been talking and wondered if these disasters are caused by God. I gave her some scriptures to look up since she was busy. I wrote them on a post it for her. Job 34:10 and Luke 21:11 show the prophecy of the events of the last days. She was so happy to have some scriptures to look up. So then I asked her if she had a Bible and she said no. I happened to have one in my bag and I gave it to her. I was holding it out to give it to her and she said, "your kidding right?" I was like,"No I'm not, It is yours if you would like it."
She was so happy to have it and said she has never had a Bible and couldn't believe I was giving it to her. I set up to come back and answer more questions she has from the Bible. I plan on placing the Bible Teach book and starting a study with her. Will keep you posted when we touch base.

Karla- She is my study. I have had her for about 2 months we are in chapter 4. Some background. She was Mike's call. She is a nurse and works nights. So I come around 3 pm every Tuesday. She is just waking up but she is always up to study and calls me when she can't make it. She even wanted to continue to study while I was on vacation! Amazing right? She really is appreciative and says so every week. When we were going over the appendix on Jehovah's name I gave her homework to see if she can find the divine name in her Bible. She said she couldn't find it in as many places as in the NWT. So she says," Well I might just have to get one of your Bibles if it has that name in it, because it is pretty important if it was in the original manuscripts 7,000 times." This week I'm tackling the Trinity with her :/ Not my fave topic but Bible Teach book does all the work for you. Keep you posted on how it goes.

Hope all is well with everyone. We love and miss you all.

Love, M+T
